Powder Mountain and Tooth Fairy

Nate took the three oldest kids skiing at Powder Mountain yesterday.  It turned into a bit of an adventure.

Memorable moments:

Sitting in the car for an hour after they got up there while the resort was deciding if they were going to open in spite of the wind.

Elise getting stuck trying to get off the lift and falling trying to get on the lift.  They had to stop it twice for her.

The wind!  It was gusting at 37 mph by the time they left (according to the kids).  Kind of crazy.  The good news is that they had fun anyway and got home an hour earlier than I was expecting them.

Abby and I had some quality one on one time.  We had dinner and watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.  Abby told me every detail that was different in the movie than how it was in the book.  That girl sure likes to talk.

In other news, Abby lost a tooth yesterday.  It was her third baby tooth to come out, but the first one that wasn’t pulled at the dentist office.  The lady that works with her reading group (Mrs. Lowe) pulled it out for her at school.  She was grinning all night.  The tooth fairy brought her a gold dollar and miniature Hershey’s bars.  She couldn’t have been more pleased.
