Basketball Ben

We signed Ben up to play city league basketball this year. He has been playing for the last couple of weeks and really loves it. They play two nights a week for an hour each night. The first half hour is practice and then they have a mini game against another team. It is pretty fun to watch. The rules on traveling and double dribbling are really lax. If not, they would have to stop the game every 14 seconds. The game on Tuesday was a complete blowout. They stopped keeping score when the other team had 16 points, but I think the real score would have been about 48 to 0. Ouch! We were happy that last night’s game was much more evenly matched. Ben’s team actually won 6-4. The big news of the day/decade is that Ben made a basket. We were so excited! He had the sweetest look on his face after he scored. He was grinning from ear to ear and just kind of looked like “Holy cow . . . was that me?!?!?”
